Make and take microscale – South Wales NW300 / O24
Summary
Join the Royal Society of Chemistry for a day exploring the world of microscale chemistry. During the day you will have the opportunity to trial microscale investigations suitable for learners from y7 to y13 and to make some microscale equipment. This will be yours to keep.
The day will comprise of a brief presentation on the benefits of microscale, then it will be hands-on for the rest of the day. Throughout the day there will be chance to discuss how microscale is currently used in schools and how you could you utilise it in your teaching.
We ask that you bring your own lunch so that you can take away more kit. Coffee, tea and soft drinks will be provided during the session.
It is going to be great day filled with hands-on activity.

This fully funded event is supported by STEM Learning and is aimed at secondary science teachers, technicians, newly qualified teachers and student teachers.

- Know more about the benefits that microscale chemistry offers not only to your learners but to your schools and the environment.
- Have experienced a range of practicals to demonstrate the breadth that microscale can offer.
- Have the opportunity to make some microscale kit to take back to your schools.
