Titanic Science - Northern Ireland Teachers ONLY NN712 / A24
Summary
The course will provide activities and guidance to support schools to enrich the teaching of STEM subjects using the context of the Titanic. Follow the construction and journey of the ship, and delve into the more recent exploration of the wreck using hands on practical investigations linked directly to the WAU curriculum. The course is one day face to face, with a follow up online session, and is suitable for teachers and WAU co-ordinators.

Outcomes
Teachers will;
- Begin to develop a thematic unit using the context of the Titanic,
- Experience and adapt investigations and experiments linked to topic,
- Explore cross-curricular ideas to take back to the classroom, along with planning approaches and resources.
