Autumn Festival of Primary Computing
Join us for a fantastic day of primary computing - designed especially for primary teachers of computing.
Four workshops throughout the day give you an opportunity to explore aspects of computing of interest to you and your school. Plus an opportunity to consider AI in your school.
Workshop 1
- Using Computing to Improve Outcomes in English, or
- Making the most of your Beebots in Key Stage 1
Workshop 2
- Using Computing to Improve Outcomes in Mathematics, or
- Getting to grips with ScratchJr in Key Stage 1
Workshop 3
- Getting Started with the Microbit
- Microbits: Going Beyond the Basics
Workshop 4
- Using Computing throughout the Wider Curriculum
- Using Dataloggers in Computing
This day is free to all state-funded primaries and comes with a supply-cover subsidy of £205 for eligible schools.
Who is the course leader?
Outcomes
The day offers the opportunity to explore the following outcomes:
- Investigate opportunities to link Computing with English and Mathematics in order to raise achievement in all three subjects
- Develop subject knowledge with Beebots, ScratchJr, Dataloggers and Microbits
- Discover opportunities to embed computing within the wider curriculum offer
