Opportunity to meet STEM Ambassadors from Ceres Power who will be introducing their latest competition for schools : Reimagine Competition.

Be a part of the energy transition

Ceres is a leading developer of climate technology, enabling the world’s most progressive companies to deliver clean energy solutions at scale and pace. It’s going to take a whole world of collaboration to reach net zero and some ideas we haven’t even imagined yet.

And that’s where you come in…Ceres, in collaboration with STEM Learning UK, is again launching our clean energy competition for secondary schools across the UK. The competition asks the next generation to REIMAGINE our world with a creative animation demonstrating an original idea for a clean energy solution. The competition welcomes secondary schools from across the UK to dive into the world of clean energy and explore the magic of science and animation.

Team up:

Form teams of up to five (5) young, enquiring minds and bring your combined talents to create something extraordinary. This is your chance to collaborate and create magic together.

Animate your ideas:Entrants are asked to submit up to three (3) minutes of video explaining an exciting scientific concept that is relevant to the netzero mission. This could be an animation, stop motion or video, with original illustrations and narrative explaining each scene.

Ideas for themes:

Energy storage: What happens when the wind drops, or the sun goes down? Explain the future role of energy storage, such as hydrogen in keeping power and heating renewable.Decarbonising industry: Hydrogen decarbonises the parts other technologies can’t reach. Discuss how industry might use hydrogen for the production of green fertiliser, steels, building materials, and more.Sustainable travel: Not all fuels are equal. Explain how some alternative fuels and technologies could be used to reduce emissions in the future, to make marine, aviation or even space travel sustainable.

The grand celebration:Three teams will be invited to the final awards ceremony in London next summer. Entrants must be able to attend, and a date will be confirmed shortly.

Guided by STEM Ambassadors:Each school will be paired with a dedicated Ceres STEM Ambassador, who will provide regular support and mentorship throughout your Reimagine journey.Resources:We're here to provide you with the tools and guidance to fuel your creativity and innovation.
