Cheshire East Curriculum of Excellence in Primary Science - Academies subscription RA913 / A47
Summary
We are delighted to present a programme of CPD designed to support the development and delivery of an excellent science curriculum. The 6 sessions examine the curriculum and how to teach it, by considering both substantive (content) and disciplinary (skills) knowledge, so that pupils gain an understanding of, as well as an interest in science. In addition, we consider assessment.
Sessions
- Planning for excellence in science and Assessment - 09.11.23, 09:30 - 15:30
- Biology and Working scientifically - 30.01.24, 09:30 - 15:30
- Chemistry - 05.03.24, 13:30 - 16:00
- Physics - 24.04.24, 13:30 - 16:00
Each session, covering EYFS to Y6 (and beyond), will involve participant tasks, consider ‘what this might look like in the classroom’ and signpost to the best resources available.
