Summary

We will explore how we can create an inclusive STEM curriculum that promotes a positive perception of STEM careers and STEM further study with students.This short course forms part of our suite of STEM Career professional development modules that can be accessed via our Science Learning Partnerships.

A cashback subsidy of £35 is available to Cambridgeshire & Peterborough state maintained schools if the full fee is paid upfront and the course is attended.

Outcomes

You will be able to:
  • understand the key issues around diversity within the STEM workforce
  • describe the term "Science Capital" and use the 8 dimensions as a guide for planning inclusive STEM content
  • consider the inclusivity of your curriculum and the importance of your subject to students' lives
