Summary

This 2-day course will explore a range of practical activities aligned to the course specification for SQA AH Biology.

Lab techniques outlined within unit 1 will be explored within the context of wider investigations/projects that can be performed in class to engage learners with relevant science questions.

The statistical package, R, will be used to analyse data for investigations.

Who is it for?

Teachers who are new to delivering AH Biology

What topics are covered?

  • Laboratory techniques for biologists, as outlined in Unit 1 of the course specification for AH biology. 
  • Statistical analysis, using the programme suite R, as suggested in Unit 3 of the course specification for AH biology.
