An opportunity to gather together local curriculum leaders to discuss updates affecting Science and to share best practice.
Topic: Communicating a strategic plan and vision for your department and making effective use of departmental meeting time.
As we gather together for our second Science Leadership TeachMeet, we are looking at how we share strategic vision to our teams and depts and best practice for using meeting time. As we approach the summer term it is an opportune time to consider what improvement strategies are working and how you might develop these into the coming academic year. We will think through strategies for how we can share our vision with our teams and how we can foster our teams taking ownership of that vision and bringing it into their classrooms.
Price will vary for non-maintained organisations.
Outcomes
You will be able to:
- work collaboratively to identify priorities in science teaching and learning and in science-specific professional development for your teams
- share and develop strategies to tackle these issues, drawing on expertise as needed from outside the network
