Summary
Networking opportunities are vital to stay abreast of developments in secondary science and our vibrant local network of secondary science leaders is an excellent forum for sharing good practice and learning from science experts.
Ofsted recognises the essential role that science subject leaders play and additionally in it most recent report science (publishes Feb 2023) states; “Research is clear that teachers and support staff need regular access to high-quality subject-specific CPD.”
BRONZE OPTION
This involves two face-to-face subject leader networking meetings led by a secondary science consultant and usually with input from the awarding organisations too. They take place in the autumn and summer terms with an additional half day remote session in the spring term.
A teacher release payment subsidy of 50 % is available on this package.
