Summary

Explore strategies to support SEND pupils in the mainstream primary classroom access and succeed with the computing curriculum. 

This short course discusses the impact of cognitive load theory on pupils and presents key computing pedagogies which can support you to reduce the cognitive load on pupils. It explores ways to approach programming tasks with SEND pupils and how to modify your teaching materials for the greatest impact. Finally, we look at the possible use of assistive technologies in the classroom.
