Summary
This session will look at the principles of and evidence behind retrieval practice, spacing and interleaving and also look at a variety of ways to integrate effective retrieval into your classroom practice beyond the popular silent starter quiz.
Participants will be able to
- Understand the principles of retrieval practice, spacing and interleaving
- Gain an overview of the research underpinning these ideas
- Recognise what constitutes good practice for using retrieval in lessons
- Devise their own spaced retrieval practice activities
