Summary
During the session you will
- reflect on literacy-related reasons for underperformance in science, and how best-practice literacy teaching can overcome these problems.
- develop practical approaches that are known to work well in science - from using keywords, to reading and understanding exam questions, and developing structured extended answers (esp. around AO2/3 and core/recommended practicals).
Timing: Approx 150 mins including a short break
