Summary
Cheshire & Wirral Computing Hub will be presenting to parents on staying safe online addressing questions from parents, looking at what is trending and the hidden dangers in gaming & social media. Last year we saw nearly 400 participants and feedback was incredibly positive.
In order for us to provide feedback to the Teach Computing programme (the people who fund us) we need to collect details of schools that participate (as with all courses we provide). To save parents having to sign up we are asking one member of staff per school (you) to register for this course as soon as possible (This step allows us to capture your school for reporting back on our engagement which is important to secure future funding).
The presentation will be a live stream. Parents will not be able to use chat or communicate during the presentation. A webform for questions will be provided before hand and made available on the night to allow any communication to be vetted and save any repetition.
After signing up you will receive an email on Thursday 26th Jan (you can still sign up after this date) with a link to the session, draft letter to parents and a question form for parents. The live stream will not be recorded.
Please keep in mind this presentation is not suitable for young people to listen to.
