Summary
British Science Week is 10th – 19th March 2023, Greater Manchester Science Learning Partnership is running a day of practical ideas aimed at primary schools interested in putting on a range of stimulating and engaging activities. The theme for British Science Week 2023 is ‘connections’ and there are lots of topics to explore to celebrate connections in science.
Delivered at Oldham Sixth Form College in their dedicated primary science lab, you will experience a variety of practical tasks relating to connections, benefit from demonstrations and trying them out for yourself. The aim is for you to be armed with new ideas to take away and include in your own Science Week activities.
Hot drinks and pastries will be available on arrival, and there with be a light lunch provided.
What are the outcomes?
- Develop primary school engagement in practical science
- Promote interaction and collaboration in science within the primary sector
- Support effective celebration of ‘connections’ in primary schools during British Science week.
A £70 bursary is available when booking this activity.
