Summary

This course will explore and summarise the recommendations from the EEF’s SEN in mainstream schools guidance report, and the Whole School SEND teacher handbook, in a science context. Over the course of the day we will exemplify and provide an overview of strategies to use in the secondary science classroom to support pupils with SEN. Themes will include: 

  • Creating an inclusive environment
  • Strategies to scaffold learning
  • Evidence informed teaching strategies
  • Working effectively with Teaching Assistants
