Summary
Join us for this annual conference for Science Technicians which includes a full day of practical ideas and activities including keynote and workshop sessions throughout the day for Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
The Keynote will be delivered by Jane Oldham, De Ferrers Academies Trust Lead Technician and ASE Chair Elect 23-24.

Microscope maintenance
From glowsticks to rhubarb - practicals to support rates of reaction
Discovering Mitosis - how to prepare a root squash of allium to show mitosis
How to WOW prospective students and parents at Open Evenings
Brilliant Biology - practical ways to engage students in the curriculum.
Electromagnetism including making your own loudspeaker
Physics required GCSE practicals focusing on density and specific heat capacity
There are a limited number of 70% Teacher Release Payment subsidies available to Maintained schools. Please email NMSLP@potteries.ac.uk to ask for the TRP code. Please note that this does not automatically deduct the fee immediately. You will receive an invoice for the full amount and the Teacher Release Payment will be released back to the school once attendance at the event has been confirmed.
