Summary
The Early Career secondary science network meetings are designed to cover aspects of teaching that new teachers to the profession find most challenging. All of the network meetings support aspects of the Early Career Framework. The meetings will provide contexts of the topics being covered, underpinned by the latest research and evidence, and will provide an opportunity for participants to share their own experiences and develop a support network.

Session 1: Developing effective classroom practice
Outcomes
By the end of the session you will have a greater understanding of:
- How to plan and structure a series of lessons to help pupils to retain and retrieve knowledge
- Strategies to improve your scientific expositions
- How to adapt teaching to support all pupils in your classroom
Session 2: Assessment and Feedback
Outcomes
By the end of the session you will have a greater understanding of:
- How to effectively use different types of assessment in the classroom
- Different types of feedback
