Summary
A course designed to help attendees feel confident teaching A-level chemistry for the first time. As well as reinforcing subject knowledge we will discuss pedagogical techniques, common misconceptions and effectively using experimental work to reinforce theory. Topic areas will include periodicity, bonding and shape, quantitative chemistry, redox chemistry and organic chemistry. An ideal course for a teacher new to teaching A-level chemistry or wanting to become more confident in managing the transition from GCSE to A-level
