Swindon Primary Science Subject Leaders’ Network Meeting RN121 / A53
Summary
This is an opportunity to meet with fellow science coordinators together with Ellen Travers-Gaisford who has been facilitating the network since it’s inauguration in 2015! The network meets three times a year to focus on aspects of the role and look at strategies which will have a positive impact on your teachers and students. The agenda for the meetings is driven by the network members and each session usually includes a focus on Working Scientifically and SKE.
The agenda for the first meeting of this academic year will look at
- Helping ECTs with science in their first year
- Looking at standardisation at my own school and with other schools
- Working scientifically - a focus on drawing graphs and looking for patterns.
Please do bring along samples of work from each of the key stages at your school so that we can model effective standardisation in a comfortable environment.
