Summary

This course is aimed at non-specialists that find themselves teaching chemistry, with a focus on KS4. Strategies will be developed to help with effective teaching of the tricky bits of the curriculum and participants will be signposted to resources that will help to develop their teaching of chemistry.

Who is the course leader?

Outcomes

You will be able to:

  • improve your subject knowledge of chemistry topics that relate to the KS4 curriculum
  • develop strategies to teach the tricky parts of the curriculum
  • use models and understand common misconceptions to ensure teaching of the subject is effective
  • utilise resources to help with development of subject knowledge
