KS5 Fields and Gases SP200 / D05
Summary
Are you a recently qualified teacher at the beginning of your KS5 teaching career or a non-specialist looking to improve your subject knowledge to enable you to teach KS5? Maybe you are an experienced A-level physics teacher looking for some new ideas for your KS5 lessons? We will focus on fields and gases in this session.
This FREE A-level Physics CPD day will give you an opportunity to try out a range of practical strategies and demos which you can immediately take back to your classroom and share with your colleagues. In addition to the two practical sessions, the day includes a math's for physics session in which you will learn the differences between the teaching of A-level math's compared with A-level physics.
- 9:00 – 9:30am Arrival to the Training Centre
- 9:30 – 11:00am Fields practical session
- 11:00 – 11:15am Break
- 11:15 – 12:15pm Theory (math's) session
- 12:15 – 1:00pm Lunch (provided)
- 1:00 – 2:30pm Gases practical session
These physics courses form part of the Stimulating Physics Network programme of support. They are fully funded by the DfE and are open to all English maintained secondary educators, not just to SPN partner schools. Please be sure to note the venue; some are remote courses and the venue will appear as “virtual”, and some are delivered face to face and may be in your locality.
