Primary Science Moderation pilot scheme - summer term 2022
1. Collection of examples of science work gathered
Facilitators collect examples of work from their own schools and schools within Trusts to exemplify TAF
2. Initial discussion and agreement of resources / exemplification
Establishing a deep understanding within facilitators of EXS and WTS. Deep understanding of the TAF. Agree a portfolio of evidence for each standard for training sessions 1 and 2. Consider the challenges / misconceptions and begin to write training to be delivered.
3. Review of proposed training
Review the training and delivery. Anticipate issues / difficulties and areas of / for misconception / challenge.
4. Review of training and planning of next session incl agreeing the 'have a go' materials
Review training and delivery. Anticipate issues / difficulties and area of / for misconception / challenge.
5. Review of training and preparations for cross cluster moderation session.
Review training and delivery. Anticipate issues / difficulties and area of / for misconception / challenge.
6. Review of cross cluster moderation and planning for moderation.
Review training and delivery. Agree process and protocols for moderations and QA.
7. Review of processes during pilot
Adapt for next academic year.
