Forces: Simple Machines - gears, levers and pulleys SP200 / B43
Summary
This session will look at simple machines that are described in the KS2 and KS3 science curriculum. We will consider pulleys, levers and gears. We will look at how this develops to moments at key stage 4. We will also discuss everyday examples and links with the GCSE PE curriculum and how we can use examples in the body and from different sports for levers and mechanical advantage. There will be ideas for teaching techniques, demos and practical work.
