SKE Physics KS3/4 - Electromagnetism RM298 / B92
Summary
SKE courses – support for anyone teaching KS3 or KS4 physics and looking to deepen their understanding of the subject.
Following the success of our workshops on forces, circuits and energy stores, we are now offering sessions in these two important topics: waves, electromagnetism and a session on the theme of maths in physics. Ideal for non-specialists (those teaching physics outside their specialism), early-careers teachers, trainees.
Starting from the field around a bar magnet we will explore electromagnets and their applications, the electromagnetic force and its use in the construction of a motor, as well as looking at electromagnetic induction and the dynamo. This is a layered approach which builds up the concepts gradually.
