SKE Chemistry KS4 - Energy Changes in Chemistry RM298 / B83
Summary
Energy changes in chemistry are arguably as important as the chemical changes themselves. Energy transfers explain why some reactions occur while others do not and why certain compounds exist.
In this session you will identify the different types of energy transfer and construct reaction profile diagrams. You will use bond enthalpies and be able to carry out calculations confidently. Additionally, you will plan practical work to investigate energy transfers while recognising and addressing student misconceptions.
