Facilitator Development Programme: Graphs for GCSE Science FD013f / Y04
Summary
This course is for teachers and other educational consultants who have been accredited with CPD Quality Mark and who want to offer maths in science sessions on behalf of their Science Learning Partnership.
Develop subject knowledge and teaching strategies to confidently deliver mathematics elements of the GCSE science specifications. You will apply these skills, using appropriate resources, in biology, physics and chemistry contexts.
You will be equipped with know-how and resources to deliver the Maths in science : Graphs course on behalf of your SLP.
The course will cover how to deliver effective CPD around:
- Sketching graphs
- Interpreting graphs
- Drawing graphs

Outcomes
You will:
- experience a variety of mathematical teaching techniques applicable in GCSE science
- develop detailed knowledge of the Maths in science : graphs course which can be delivered though SLPs

Participants from outside the UK will be charged the course fee and an additional £120 per day plus VAT.
Additional information
For courses at the National STEM Learning Centre in York, fees include meals and accommodation for the duration of the course.
