The Royal Academy of Engineering CST: The Future of Flight, Autumn Resource RE219 / A70
Summary
This free session is available to any secondary school within the London area, looking to engage a greater number of pupils with STEM education and careers awareness.
This hands-on cross curricular activity and thought-provoking real-world engineering project is one of many the Academy produce each term. After the session you will be able to claim a STEM box containing 15 sets of multiple experiments for you to use with any STEM club, within your curriculum, or in partnership with a STEM Ambassador. Completely free - you just need to attend the training!
This resource introduces pupils to the technology of the future through the context of aeronautical engineering. It aims to inspire the next generation of young engineers asking them to consider how they can push the boundaries of technology through eight flight focused challenges.
Challenge topics include - theory of flight, artificial intelligence, health monitoring and clean engines, smart materials & communication.
Some refreshments will be provided.

You will be able to:
- work collaboratively to identify priorities in science teaching and learning and in science-specific professional development for your teams
- share and develop strategies to tackle these issues, drawing on expertise as needed from outside the network
