Summary
With recent changes to the science curriculum now embedded in most schools and colleges, challenges still remain in maximising the enjoyment, engagement and success of learners. This course recognises the pivotal role that technical support staff play and provides the opportunity to meet, discuss and share good practice.
Who is it for?
This meeting is an opportunity to re-establish our vibrant technician network in Gloucestershire.
Participants will be able to:
- Learn about developments in science education which impact on their roles
- Develop expertise in and learn to use and describe new practical ideas and equipment to colleagues
- Resource, design and prepare new practical ideas and equipment
- Network with other technicians and learn from their practice

- Beyond the required practicals - From effective demonstrations to new practical ideas we aim to put practical science back on the agenda
- Ideas share - An opportunity to exchange practical hints and tips
Your future training needs - Help design your local training programme for next academic year
