Summary
This course will start to develop the middle manager skills that being leader of a practical subject like science entails. Starting with understanding your schools strengths and areas for development, what should be in a science policy, how to undertake monitoring and evaluation and the challenges of resourcing.The course will look at the new requirements in light of the Ofsted framework and the Ofsted Research report 2021, and includes information and advice about assessing science within the national curriculum. A course for all new and aspiring subject leaders.

- set and manage processes for leading science effectively
- lead change in your school to support delivery of the primary curriculum
