Summary

These short and snappy professional learning sessions are designed to fit in to your busy day and are only 45 minutes in length. You will need a lab or corner of the prep room and will be sent a kit and equipment list in advance of the session. All sessions are run by highly experienced trainers and classroom practitioners who will provide expertise to ensure you are as well equipped as possible to create engaging science lessons.
Who should attend?We know that reflective classroom practitioners make better teachers so any teacher who wishes to revisit their science teaching will benefit from these sessions. They will be of particular interest to newly and recently qualified who either need to enhance their subject knowledge or improve outcomes of practical science lessons.

Outcomes

  • Each session lasts 45 minutes
  • Maximise learning from practical classroom science activities.
  • Be guided through common practical activities in science Undertake the practical activity simultaneously with the course tutor 
  • Explore the ways in which the activity can be exploited for maximum gains in student learning.
