Summary
It has probably been a tough year as a new teacher but here your chance to take stock and learn from experienced colleagues so that can enhance the learning of young people an manage your own workload. Spread over two days and with a series of key themes on subject knowledge, practical science, pedagogy, resources and classroom practice, this conference is designed to help you explore the key issues affecting secondary science as an early career teacher.
Here is a small selection of the 20 workshop titles:• Tackling misconceptions• maximising learning through practical science• Maths skills in the science classroom and behaviours for learning • resources to minimise planning• meeting the needs of low attainer's

Outcomes
Through the planned sessions there will be the opportunity to:
• explore current good practice in secondary science• recognise your own good practice, and identify areas for development• network with others and reflect on ways to translate ideas to your school context and plan for action
