Summary

This course is designed for ITT students, NQTs, early career teachers or anyone returning to the classroom who have missed out on valuable practical teaching time and want to develop or refresh their practical skills in preparation for teaching practical lessons. Across the day you will cover chemistry, physics and biology practical skills, alongside essential health and safety, to allow you to deliver practical lessons confidently whilst meeting health and safety regulations.
 

Outcomes

You will be able to:
  • develop a range of skills in practical science across chemistry, physics and biology
  • understand the basics of effective health and safety in school labs and what your responsibilities are
  • prepare for dealing with incidents in the lab
