Summary

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to assessment. However this course provides primary subject leaders and teachers the opportunity to explore best practice in primary science assessment, and a chance to investigate the resources that are available in the wider educational world.
This course is ideal for primary school teachers who want to familiarise themselves with the current expectations around assessment and pupil's progress in science. You will explore the difference between assessment, moderation and tracking, as well as considering how best to assess primary science in your school.
This course will be delivered remotely on the days and times detailed below. To participate in full, you will need to ensure you have dedicated time away from the classroom, as you would if this were a face to face course. We will take regular breaks and structure the content so that it is interactive and impactful.
You must attend all sessions in order to receive the bursary, and sessions will not be recorded. For more information on remote delivery, please visit https://www.stem.org.uk/remote-courses-for-teachers
