Threshold concepts and misconceptions in science are consistently identified a block to future learning.This session will explore some of the evidence supporting the need to tackle misconception, examine how can we plan for opportunities to identify them and plan on ways to address them in our teaching.
- Provide ideas, resources and techniques to use in your school to aid pupil understanding and enhance teaching
- Opportunity to network with colleagues in a similar role across secondary phases
- We will also have the opportunity to discuss the challenges of being a science NQT or RQT
