Summary
High-quality teaching and learning, whether in the classroom or in remote teaching, is underpinned by effective curriculum design. Teachers will explore different evidence-informed aspects of a well thought-out curriculum and how to develop these in their own departments.
You will have chance to consider effective subject knowledge, well-planned, embedded practical and maths skills and thinking on progression to help specialist and non-specialist teachers in your department. There will also be discussion and sharing of ideas from the different teachers oin the course and chance to ask questions that are specific to your setting and needs.
This course will encourage departments to take a wide-ranging view of their teaching and with support from experts in different parts of the curriculum, will challenge an support them to develop their thinking further.
This course is for classroom teachers and heads of science from all UK secondary schools
