It is important to keep up-to-date with current science matters, including pure subject knowledge, topic specific developments and general pedagogical methods. These short modules will allow teachers of science to update and improve their subject knowledge and consider how best to support students in learning the subject.

Outcomes
- identify misconceptions in chemistry and develop understanding as to why students find those concepts difficult
- develop approaches to teaching those concepts that students typically find challenging in chemistry
- explore the best teaching and learning strategies/resources to address this develop strategies to aid student engagement - e.g. through modelling, practical work, retrieval strategies and questioning
