Spotlight on EYFS/KS1 - INVITATION ONLY RA198 / C20
Summary
Young children are naturally drawn to science-based activities. The principal focus of science teaching in EYFS and KS1 is to enable pupils to experience and observe phenomena, looking more closely at the natural and humanly-constructed world around them.
Science provides a context through which play-based learning activities can develop children's skills and knowledge and understanding of their world.
You will find out about ideas for practical science that can be used with young children to develop a range of scientific skills, and explore the opportunities these activities offer to promote children's social skills as they work in small groups.
