Summary
Have you been leading a Science department for a while and want to move your department to outstanding? Do you want to hone your skills to meet the challenges of taking your department to the next level? You will share experiences and consider the approaches which will allow your leadership development within your own context. You will explore strategies and resources which will support you to lead colleagues in embedding new practices to raise attainment.
Who is it for?
Heads of science who have held the post for a couple of years who wish to develop their leadership skills further.

How long is the course?
This first part of this course will be delivered remotely, with the second part deliver in the spring/summer term at the National STEM Learning Centre in York, on the days and times detailed below. To participate in full you will need to ensure you have dedicated time away from the classroom, as you would if this were a fully face to face course. On the remote days, we will take regular breaks and structure the content so that it is interactive and impactful. You must attend all sessions in order to receive the bursary, sessions will not be recorded.
