SEND Science Hub Network RC913 / C01

Start date
23 Nov 20
Learning Method
Remote Delivered CPD

Summary

The SEND Science Hub aims to offer support to those who are delivering science lessons within a special school setting, empowering working in SEND settings to discover the potential of the science curriculum for students.  It will provide the opportunity for delegates to meet once every half term to discuss topics that are important to them.  Participants will be invited and encouraged to network with each other, ask for advice and share good practice with colleagues who are working in similar roles.

The agenda will be flexible and responsive to the needs and requests that are made during each meeting.

The strengthening of informal school to school support will create an effective network of information, advice and guidance.

This is a partnership arrangement between Blackfriars Teaching School Alliance and the North Midlands Science Learning Partnership.

The agenda for the first meeting will include:

  • Introductions
  • Sharing current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) challenges and solutions
  • Science practical work health and safety update
  • Needs analysis to inform future agenda items

There will be a total of 5 meetings during the 2020-2021 academic year.  Delegates can choose to sign up using this course code for all of the sessions at a cost of £99.  Alternatively delegates can choose to sign up for specific meeting dates at a cost of £25 per network meeting.  If you wish to only attend specific dates please search for the relevant event title and course code below and make a booking on the individual event.
