Summary
This course outlines how to develop teaching and curriculum to meet the needs boys and disadvantaged pupils in science. Participants will gain an understanding of what effective provision should look like based on evidence from Ofsted and research. Participants will develop a tool kit of strategies to support teaching and will reflect on how curriculum design can help to support boys as well as disadvantaged students.
Outcomes
By the end of the course, participants will be able to :
- understand how curriculum planning and lesson delivery can support boys and disadvantaged students to make progress
- develop practical strategies to provide effective support for these pupils in lessons to better prepare your pupils for examinations
- reflect on the latest research findings relating to effective strategies to enable boys and disadvantaged students to make progress.
