Summary

Primary Science MOT - What’s happening with Science in your school?

 

Strong subject leadership can transform the quality of Science Teaching in Primary Schools. As  subject leaders, we need to know where science stands in school before we can start to implement change.

 

This taster session will support you to assess your school’s current science status, while helping you identify the areas of development and how to make them into strengths. It will give you the tools and confidence to be able to monitor and assess how you can improve the quality of science training in your school.

 

This remote course will be delivered via Zoom - once you have booked on, you will be sent a welcome email - and closer to the time, details of how to access the Zoom meeting!

 

To help you get the most out of this online session then please bring with you:

·        A whole class set of science books and any science plannning you may have

·        Overall  School planner of who teaches what science and when throughout the year

·        A copy of the  Primary Science National Curriculum 

 

Outcomes

  • As a result of this FREE online session, you will be able to:

        Create a vision for science in your school and lead its development with confidence.

         Promote relevant initiatives informed by the latest best practices.

         Set up processes for managing, monitoring, and assessing science learning across the school.

         Support your colleagues in science learning
