Summary

A one hour introduction to the UK CanSat Competition - held online through Adobe Connect.  This course is designed for teachers leading teams taking part in the competition.  We will cover the structure of the competition and how to take part.  Schools should sign up to register a team through www.stem.org.uk/cansat - only registered schools will be eligible for a free CanSat kit.  STEM Ambassadors interested in getting involved can register for another instance of this course running at 8pm on 11th November 2020 through https://myscience.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/uk-cansat-stem-ambassador-intro-course 

Outcomes

By the end of this introductory course, you will:

  • Understand the basics of the UK CanSat Competition and the European CanSat Competition.
  • Know the requirements for a registered team and how to access further information to support a team through the competition.
  • Know where to access further training materials on the construction and operation of a CanSat kit.
  • Have an opportunity to ask questions of the competition organisers.
