Energy sector resource launch -INVITE ONLY RB298 / A277
Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for teachers and careers leaders to access a teaching resource fully funded by Westinghouse to help engage students learning about the Energy sector and sustainability. The energy game has been designed by Curieus games and will support delivery of the Science, Geography and PSHE curriculum as well as contribute to the Gatsby Benchmarks (3,4,5). The CPD session will outline the various ways the resource can be used within and beyond curriculum time ranging from a 10-15 minute activity in the classroom to the basis of a full day careers drop down day so that every time students engage they practise new skills. This unique opportunity is only being offered initially to schools in Preston and Blackpool.
Lancashire Hub are supporting the resource and have been instrumental in coordinating this opportunity with local employers, the Science Learning Partnership and identifying the schools and areas where we are able to offer this initially. This will support with Benchmarks 3, 4 and 5. Resource support will become available. This will include Stem Ambassadors. The CPD session is only available on this date and if you are not able to take part as a school further CPD opportunity has not been planned.
