Preparing for a deep dive in primary science RX198 / JC01
Do you have a broad and balanced primary curriculum? Does science have a high profile and is your vision shared across the school? This CPD will explore the 2019 Ofsted framework and in particular the Deep Dive process. Primary science leaders will discuss key strategies to ensure that the intent, implementation and impact of their science curriculum is evident throughout school. You will also undertake a gap task that is bespoke to your setting to address a particular need.
identify and develop a whole school vision for primary science in your setting and what it will achieve
describe strategies to ensure science is delivered effectively across your school and be able to express what good science learning looks like and the traits that will be seen in pupils
develop strategies to monitor pupils’ success in science, and evaluate current assessment procedures
