This course will provide you with the tools and confidence to plan and develop effective teaching and learning strategies for science in key stage 1 (KS1). You will explore ways of bringing the KS1 curriculum to life through practical ideas and discussion tasks.
Outcomes
You will be able to:
- create a manageable approach to teaching science in KS1
- identify children's gaps in science knowledge and understanding
- identify practical approaches to teaching subject-specific content in KS1
- describe common misconceptions and consider strategies for dealing with them
