Chemistry subject knowledge enhancement: Quantitative Chemistry RE356 / F08
Summary
This course is aimed at non-specialists that find themselves teaching chemistry, particularly to GCSE level. During the course, subject knowledge in Quantitative Chemistry will help to develop their teaching of chemistry.
Note : This course is designed to develop subject knowledge of the chemistry curriculum and there will be no engagement with practical chemistry.
£10 for maintained schools
£30 for non-maintained schools
Outcomes
You will be able to:
- improve your subject knowledge of chemistry topics that relate to the curriculum
- develop strategies to teach the tricky parts of the curriculum
- use models and understand common misconceptions to ensure teaching of the subject is effective
- utilise resources to help with development of subject knowledge
