Summary

This last network meeting of the year, for early careers teachers, will have a focus on:

Classroom and Behaviour management:
Facilitator: Adam Boxer Head of Science at TTA & Co-founder Carousel Learning
Poor behaviour is extremely draining, resulting in lost learning and stressed out teachers. In these sessions we will look at simple and concrete steps to improving the behaviour of your students. The actions we will look at can be applied in any school and in any context and are designed to prevent students from misbehaving to start with, rather than responding to them when they do.

Adam is the head of science at a North London academy. A keen promoter of evidence based practice, Adam has delivered CPD nationally and internationally on a range of topics. Adam is the author of two revision guides and the editor of The ResearchEd Guide to Explicit and Direct Instruction. Adam is the co-founder of cutting edge quizzing platform Carousel Learning which uses retrieval practice to weave student revision with classroom practice. Adam blogs at achemicalorthodoxy.wordpress.com and tweets at @adamboxer1.
