Primary conference RN124 / C03
Summary
As we are unable to hold our full conference this year, we are instead offering a free workshop from Science Oxford. This will be an introduction to the Thinking, Doing, Talking Science project from Science Oxford, focussing on various discussion techniques to encourage pupils’ higher order thinking skills in science. Participants will come away from the session with lots of ideas which can be used straight away back in the classroom. We’ll also mention how Science Oxford can support your science teaching through some online resources and our Big Science Event which is being re-launched for families and children to engage with science at home..
Outcomes
Please see specific entries for exact outcomes for the conference you are interested in, there will be the opportunity to:
- discuss current good practice in primary science
- recognise your own good practice, and identify areas for development
- reflect on ways to translate ideas to your school context, and plan for action
