Summary
This course is ideal for teachers who are new or relatively new to teaching A Level Chemistry. The course aims to:
- improve teacher confidence in subject knowledge
- develop awareness of skills appropriate to post-16 chemistry
This will be done through the exploration of key ideas common to all specifications.
Outcomes
You will be able to:
- improve your subject knowledge of chemistry topics that relate to the curriculum
- develop strategies to teach the tricky parts of the curriculum
- use models and understand common misconceptions to ensure teaching of the subject is effective
- utilise resources to help with development of subject knowledge
