Space - Our Place in the Universe NN020 / B19
Summary
With Space being a statutory requirement of the Primary Curriculum, this course will help you discover how space exploration can inspire pupils and engage them in working scientifically. This hands-on practical day for primary teachers will provide a bank of easy to use ideas to enable pupils to conduct exciting scientific investigations based around the concept of space. There will also be an opportunity to design, build and test models using basic materials and the latest technologies for space projects.
Outcomes

- experience a range of activities designed to engage and excite pupils in science and wider STEM activities linked to space exploration
- explore investigations around how to keep Astronauts safe in space
- acquire a range of skills through hands on experience designing and testing rockets and rovers, and consider how these can be used back in the classroom
